The Summer Solstice on June 21 is when the Sun is most close to the Northern Hemisphere and the length of the sun rays is shorter. Hence, the climate is warmer, the days are longer and the nights are shorter. We define this as the season of Summer.
This is also the peak of the Fire Element season (in 5-Element Theory), when the interaction of Cosmic and Earth energy is at its most Yang. Hence it is most active and efficient.
During this season, in nature fires can spontaneously combust and take away unwanted overgrowth and dry plants to make space for the new one that have started growing since the Spring.
Much as it happens in the natural world, this is also a good time for us energetically to let go of heavy and burdensome pasts that are holding us back, forgive torts and forget what it has been overcome. It is the time to direct our energy towards manifesting the new ventures we have envisioned during the previous meditation of last December and March.
Join us for this timely, special meditation, as we are clearing the deck and making space to embody such visions. This meditation is recommended to everybody.
Additional notes about the meditation:
As per our previous mediation classes, please wear comfortable and loose clothes, and plan on sitting on a chair with a straight back where you can lean against while relaxing. Your feet should rest comfortably on the floor. Crossed legs and arms, nor sitting on the floor is advise for this session. A quiet room with comfortable light and temperature is preferable.
This meditation will provide you with unique insights for yourself for the rest of the Year. Please keep a note pad and pen handy to write down notes for yourself after the meditation has ended. In some cases, the surge of creativity experienced during the meditation is conducive to continue your own personal mediation immediately passed the conclusion of the class. That is a very good thing, so give yourself the time to do that thru the whole weekend.
